I had a weird dream last night. I dreamt that I lived on the 55th floor in my condominium, and all of a sudden it started rain so heavily that it began to flood. The flood waters rose higher and higher till all of a sudden, I was about to be engulfed in it... on the 55th floor! I held my breath in anticipation of being overcome by water, but to my surprise, the waters receded.
When I woke up I didn't think much of the dream, but as I looked out into the dark sky (it was still dark then), I had a tiny feeling that I would see something interesting from my window that morning. And sure enough, as I was doing my quiet time, I glanced up from my Bible and there it was- the rainbow. Excitedly I grabbed my camera and snapped away... and so it did come true- something nice was outside my window!
After I placed my camera back on the shelf, I sat down to resume my devotions... and suddenly I remembered my dream. Was this a coincidence?!
Coincidence or not, it was His way of reminding me of His sure promise. He would never send a flood as such again.

| Apologies to my readers who have so been so faithfully checking into my blog all though I have not posted since last year. (I can't believe it was that long ago... time sure does fly, doesn't it!)
Of late I've been rather occupied with my Bright Lights discipleship group, the Nutritional Therapy course that I'm doing part-time, and a bunch of other things that when meshed together in seven days gives you not much time for personal blogging. But how could I not post when Lydia reviewed my blog on hers last week? I feel bad for people who keep checking in for updates, but keep finding none... because I feel that way too when I read other blogs!
So, although this isn't much of a big comeback post, it's one to say that I'm still here, and I hope to be updating this thing more frequently... (Now, if I can just get this time-management concept into my head...!)
If a picture is worth a thousand words, hopefully my post now contains a little more than two-thousand "Tea time" during our most recent Bright Lights meeting (28th March) I've just updated the Bright Lights KL blog, so check there if you want to know what we've been doing.
A picture of yours truly from the "Week-in-Feminine-Dress" challenge (from the Rebelution forum) that I participated in two weeks ago.
Psalm 77:11 I will remember the works of the LORD; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.

| Angelyn and I just finished our 3rd chalk talk for the MY(short for Malaysia) Got Talent competition in our church. The theme for this chalk talk was "Living with an Eternal Perspective", and one of the stories we included was the life of Eric Liddell. After everything ended, we went for dinner, and while we were waiting for our food to arrive, Mum pulled out a nicely wrapped present for Angelyn and me. Apparently, she just found it today while at a booksale. Guess what it was?
I've always loved reading about heroes of faith, beginning from the time I was introduced to the Trailblazer series in my old church's children's library. Since then, I've read a few more biographies in between, but when I watched this video by Randy Alcorn (while doing my research for this chalk talk), I realised that I should be reading more biographies. So this is definitely a welcomed gift . Last week, I read a write up on the life of Bill Borden, and read "The Hiding Place" by Corrie Ten Boom. Now, I can't wait to start reading Pure Gold!
I was just talking to my mum about biographies. We agreed that while the Bible is constantly our source of guidance and inspiration, the lives of great men and women of faith are great examples to us on how the truths from the Bible transform and shape people from different walks of life, and various points in history. I'm looking forward to adding more of these books to my bookshelf!
"Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith." Hebrews 13:7 (NLT)
p/s. I know, kinda weird, huh... Doing a chalk talk for a talent competition..! But God actually used the competition as a way to nudge us out of our comfort zones since we weren't confident in giving chalk talks prior to this. We've learned and grown alot from the whole experience... I guess I'll have to blog more about that later.
